Okay so you know there’s money to be made selling your own products. You see the gurus hitting your inbox every day with promotion after promotion. You even buy a product here and there. You know someone is turning a profit…
But the question is how do you turn the tables and create your own profitable product? And more importantly how do you ensure you won’t spend months creating something that no one wants?
Here are 7 quick and powerful ways to create killer product ideas that will sell…
- Solve Problems. If people need money, you show them how to get it. If people need to lose weight, you show them how to be thinner. If people have back pain, you show them how to get rid of it, etc.
- Answer Questions. Again, you’re showing them how to do something. For example, if people are asking how to build a website, run an affiliate program or use a shopping cart, answering their questions can be the basis for a product topic. Sometimes the question might be answered with software. For example, if people want to know how to drive traffic and you’ve created a plug-in that drives traffic, you have an answer to their question (#2) that solves their problem (#1)
- Make a Process Easier. For example, every marketer needs sales letters. If you can develop a software, service or system that makes it easier to get sales letters, you might have a product winner.
- Improve something. If you’ve got a method for growing organic vegetables that makes the vegetables bigger, tastier or more plentiful, you’ve got a product.
- Do something faster. Maybe you know how make tomatoes grow twice as fast, or you know how to build a good list faster than anyone, or you have software that cuts the time it takes to perform a task – those are all viable product ideas.
- Make something cheaper. Can you teach the contents of a $997 course for $27? Or can you show people how to do something cheaper? Maybe you can demonstrate how to grow herbs for a fraction of the store cost – this could make a great product.
- Find the Hidden Desire or Need. For example, there are tons of products on how to do each aspect of online marketing yourself. But there might very well be a hidden market of upscale buyers who would rather pay someone to develop an online business for them.
Developing a winning product is very straight-forward but launching it is where most people struggle.
If you’re serious about selling your own products and getting out there in the marketplace to reach the greatest amount of customers, then you may want to check out our latest video course…

Welcome to the first lesson in the Product Creation Crash Course.
Each day for the next few days you will receive a lesson that will help you learn the ins and outs of product creation.
Firstly, let me say Thank you joining me for this short course, I am confident that you will find the content in this course invaluable when begin to create your own information products.
The reason I’ve created this short course is to help other people (like you) get started creating†their own products. I know it can seem like a daunting task, but believe me when I say it is also the most profitable step you can take for your financial future!
There is a lot of information on the web on how to create your own products but not many of these sources provide a clear and concise step by step plan so that you can get your product out there and making money in the shortest time possible!
So that is what I am going to attempt to do here. 🙂
I am confident if you follow the steps within this course you will have your very own killer product that will bring in sales for years to come.
In this first lesson let’s talk a little about why the right mind set means a lot when it comes to creating your own product.
The hardest thing I’ve found and probably many other people find to when they get started with any aspect of Internet Marketing is all of the hard work it involves.
I am not sure how you got interested in Internet Marketing but if you were like me you have probably been pulled in at some point, by all the websites out there that promise untold riches for 5 minutes work!
Don’t get me wrong this is indeed possible, but in my experience not when you are getting started. It is indeed a reality if you have a list of 3,000 responsive buyers that you can send out an email that will make you thousands of dollars within a few days.
Although to start off you need to create that product and build that list and unfortunately that will require some good old fashioned research and elbow grease!
So you will need the correct mind set and I am not going to write pages and pages of motivation for you, except to answer the number one question that stops people taking action or makes them give up in my experience.
I know this question comes up and can be very hard to overcome because I have asked myself the same question plenty of times when I was getting started with Internet Marketing.
Here is the question or questions I found myself asking when I was getting started:
Is this going to work?
Is all this work worth it?
Will my product sell?
These are the three main questions that I found myself asking when I was creating my own product.
Well take it from me the answer to all those questions is – Yes it really does work!
If you follow the steps within this course you will see that Internet Marketing does not have some secret formula!
All you have to do is see things through to the end, have the ability to follow a series of steps and probably most important take action!
Whether it takes you 5 days or 5 weeks to follow these steps see them through to the end and I guarantee you will achieve success online!
Once you create your own product and once that is pulling in money you can do the same thing over and over to build a virtual empire.
We have a lot to go over in the next few days if you want to learn how to create your own product, so make sure you look for your next lesson tomorrow.

It’s time for your second lesson. I hope you found lesson one informative and that you are ready to get started researching topics for your new information product.
This is one of the most talked about subjects in Internet marketing and can be like the search for King Solomon’s mines.
The good news is it really doesn’t have to be that difficult and you can find profitable niches with ease it just requires you to think slightly outside the box.
This step is the exact method I use to find profitable niches and is pretty easy to do!
The first thing you need to do especially with your first product is find a niche that interests you.
This is not always the case and there will be plenty of profitable niches that you do not really interest you at all, but with your first product it is a good idea to find a niche that you have some sort of interest in. It will make the job easier for you.
If you are having difficulty thinking of a good niche that you have interest in, the best thing to do is think about your hobbies.
Just think of things that you enjoy doing like cooking, playing computer games, fishing, DIY, Ebay, collecting stamps etc…
The other thing I should mention here is try not to spend too much time thinking about this as it can prevent you from taking action!
Ok, so once you have got your niche the first thing you need to do is see if it is profitable and people are looking for it!
Remember don’t spend too much time on this just think of something you have an interest in and move on to the next step.
The next thing you need to do is determine how many people are searching for your niche.
To do this you will need a good keyword tool like the one found here: freekeywords.wordtracker.com
There are many more that you can use and you can find them by doing a quick search for “keyword tool” in your browser. But for this course we will stick with the one above because it’s fast, free and easy.
Now, perform this test. Go to the link above and type in your main topic, for instance dog training.†When you click the button you will see a list of the top keywords on that†topic plus how many times the words have been searched for.
By performing this search you will be able to get a good idea if the niche you are interested in is a popular one with lots of people looking for products related to it.
Keep in mind that your niche search results should have more than 1000 searches per month at the very least 500. This is a rough estimate, but it will still give you a good idea of weather or not you should move forward in that niche.
If you did the test above you’ve seen that the top main phrases associated with dog training are:
free dog training tips dog training collars in home dog training dog training collar dog training tips.
At least at the time I am writing this. Result will vary.
So you should now do the same with the topic of your choice and pick the top 5 phrases that are being most searched for in your niche.
If you followed the above steps and your niche has less than 500 searches per month then you may want to find another because it may not be worth putting the work in to creating a product on that topic if there are so few looking for it!
So if you have a very small niche, try and think of another niche with more search results.
Once you have found a niche with a decent amount of search results move it time to move on to Step 3 where we will find out if your niche will make you money and we will cover that in your next lesson. Be sure to look for it†tomorrow!

Hi there,
It’s time for your third lesson, and today we’re going to talk about how you can determine whether your product will generate income. There’s no guarantee that you’ll make money with your product, but if you follow these steps, you’ll be 99% sure that there is a market available for the taking!
Firstly, make a folder on your desktop to keep all your work together, and name it after your niche, for example, “Dog Training Product.”
Now, to find out whether your product will make money, you need to determine whether people who search for your top five phrases are buying as well. One effective way to do this is to use Google Adwords.
Start by going to google.com and typing in your top phrase, the one with the most searches, such as “Dog Training.” Look at the number of search results the query has, and then look at the number of Adwords ads the phrase has. These are the small ads on the right side of your search results page. Basically, the more profitable a market, the more people will bid to place their ads. If your search returns a page with few or no Adwords ads, drop that topic and find a new one, because chances are good that no one is buying in that market.
Next, type each of the five phrases you picked earlier and make a note of:
- The number of search results
- How many people are buying Google Adwords for that phrase
To get a rough idea of how much people are willing to pay to be on Google Adwords, use a site called SpyFu. It lets you see what sort of money people are spending on Google Adwords for their phrases.
When you go to SpyFu, type in your main phrase into the search bar, and it will display the information we want. You will need to do this with each of your phrases. Here’s an example of what SpyFu bought up for the phrase “Dog Training”:
Cost/Click: $0.82 – $3.41 Clicks/Day: 62.4 – 79.0 Advertisers: 20 Cost/Day: $51.46 – $270.00
Cost/Click tells us the average cost to the advertiser per click. The higher the amount, the better, as advertisers spending more money per click must be getting sales (normally anyway!).
Clicks/Day shows us the average number of clicks per day an advertiser is getting on that phrase. The higher the number, the better, as it means people are searching for information on that phrase.
Advertisers show the number of advertisers bidding on this phrase. Ideally, this number should be lower than 20, as it means there are less than 20 different competing Google Adwords, and if you can find a good niche with low competition, then this is better.
Cost/Day shows the total daily cost to all advertisers that bought this keyword/phrase. This just shows you how much an advertiser is prepared to pay to stay at the top. Normally, the more the better, as if the advertiser is willing to pay more than they must think the keyword is profitable!
Go through each of your five keywords and see the results using this tool. Ideally, you’ll be looking for all the figures to be high and the competition to be low (less than 10 competing ads can be a goldmine!). However, as long as people are spending money and there is a market there, you’ll make money 99% of the time!
Also, start thinking about narrowing down your niche for product creation. Lastly, remember to keep all your work in the folder
Dear {!firstname_fix},
I hope you are gaining valuable insights from our Product Creation Crash Course.
Today, let’s talk about how you can create a killer product with minimum hassle.
By now, you should have identified a profitable market and are ready to create your product. While there are many different products to choose from, we will focus on creating an ebook for the purposes of this course. Even if you don’t know much about the topic, I will show you how to write an outstanding ebook.
Creating an ebook as your first project is the easiest way to get started. As your niche grows, you can always add an educational video or an online course as an upsell. For now, let’s focus on an ebook.
Let’s get started:
The first thing we need for our ebook is chapters. But, how do you know what chapters to include in your ebook? You need to know what your target audience wants answers to. To achieve this, we will head over to Yahoo Answers, an excellent resource to determine what people want answers to within a market.
All you need to do is type in the market phrase you have chosen into the search bar, for example, “Dog Potty Training.” Here is what comes up for me: 1,266 results for the phrase “Dog Potty Training.” Search through the results and identify the main questions or topics that come up frequently.
For instance, one of the frequently asked questions within “Dog Potty Training” is “Should I smack my dog when potty training?” The answer to this question by almost everyone is a big NO! Based on this example, I would entitle one of my chapters as “The 4 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Smack Your Dog While Potty Training!”
The number of chapters you pick for your ebook depends on how many different questions are being asked. Aim for about 5 or 6 chapters with good content. For now, identify 5 or 6 questions that are being asked and make a note of them. These will be the chapters of your ebook.
The top 5 issues I found for “Dog Potty Training” were:
∑ Should I Smack My Dog When Potty Training? ∑ Is It Right To Shout At My Dog When Potty Training? ∑ Should You Use A Crate When Dog Potty Training? ∑ What’s The Best Routines To Potty Train My Dog? ∑ What Is The Best Way To Potty Train An Older Dog?
There were more questions for “Dog Potty Training,” but for your first product, focus on 5 or 6 main questions and save them in a notepad file in the folder you created earlier.
For the start of your book, always begin with an introduction where you tell your readers who you are and what you’re going to tell them. This does not have to be too long, but a nice little story will go down well. 🙂
For the chapter titles, I find that catchy titles following the top reasons routine work well. For instance, you could entitle the first chapter as “The Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Not Smack Your Dog While Potty Training And The REAL Secrets You Must Know To Do Successful Potty Training!”
Remember not to get too caught up in the chapter titles at this stage, as you can always go back and change them later. Try to think of a catchy title that grabs the reader’s attention, use words like “Secrets” or “Never Revealed Before” to spark interest. Also, use the top 10 reasons method or 10 things NOT to do when training your dog. This approach will make it easier when you go to write your book.

Dear {!firstname_fix},
Welcome to your final lesson! Today, we will dive straight into the steps you need to take to create the content for your new ebook. Creating an ebook can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. In this lesson, I will share with you the secret to creating your own product super fast.
The method I’m about to explain is great because you don’t have to spend hours doing painstaking research to write your next bestseller. All the research has been done for you! You just need to know where to find good quality content for your ebook.
The first place you should go to is Ezine Articles: ezinearticles.com. It has thousands of articles that you can use for the content of your product. However, you should not copy people’s articles. Instead, you can take the main points from an article and rewrite it in your own words. This requires some editing and writing, but if you stay on track, you should be fine.
To find good quality content for your ebook, go to Ezine Articles and type your search term in the search box. This will return a list of all the articles in the database. I recommend that you use the advanced search option to get the best results. You can find the Advanced Search feature on the side of the page, about halfway down. When searching, try to use the exact phrase of your main keyword. For instance, I typed in Dog Potty Training, and Ezine Articles returned 100,000 articles on this topic!
Now it’s time to begin collecting content for your ebook. Start by finding 3 to 4 good articles on each topic that you have chosen for your chapters. Create a separate sub-folder for each of your chapters in the folder you created earlier, and copy and paste 4-5 articles for each chapter that you can use content from. Remember not to copy someone’s articles word for word, but use the ideas to create your own.
You can also find more specialized information by performing a forum search on Google for your topic. This will bring up all the forums related to your niche. For example, if you are looking for some more in-depth info on dog potty training, you can search for “Dog Potty Training Forums” on Google, and it will return 1,300,000 results!
You can also use forums to get specific answers to a problem that you cannot find anywhere else. All you need to do is sign up as a member of the forum, introduce yourself, and ask your question. You will get answers!
Using the above methods, you should have more than enough information to write your ebook and start making money from it. Look out for my email tomorrow; it will contain some great tips on how to put the information you’ve collected together as quickly as possible.

Dear {!firstname_fix},
I hope this email finds you well. As we’re nearing the end of this short course, it’s time to put everything together and create your own product. In this lesson, we’ll discuss the steps you need to take to get started.
You have already done your research and gathered 4-5 articles for each chapter of your product. Now, all you need to do is arrange the information and start writing. Don’t worry about writing a masterpiece like Charles Dickens. The key is to write in your own voice, using good, solid content.
Let’s take an example of Chapter 1: “The Do’s and Don’ts of Dog Potty Training.” You can start with an opening paragraph that introduces the chapter and outlines what you’re going to cover. For instance, “In this chapter, I’ll be discussing the main do’s and don’ts of dog potty training. These tips are based on my personal experience and can help you get started on the right track.”
Next, list the tips you’ve collected from your research and explain each one in your own words. Remember to summarize the chapter at the end and preview what’s coming up in the next chapter.
Here’s a good way to structure each chapter:
- Start with an introduction that outlines what you’re going to cover.
- Provide the main content, tips, and advice.
- Summarize the chapter and preview what’s coming up in the next chapter.
The key is to get started and write down your initial thoughts. You can always go back and improve your work later.
Creating a product can be challenging, but the rewards can be great. Remember, there are plenty of ideas to go around. Once you’ve had one successful product, you can duplicate your process and create more.
I hope you’ve found these lessons helpful, and I wish you much success with your new product.
